The World's Largest Jigsaw Puzzle Collection

Luiza Figueiredo is known today as the world record holder for collecting unique jigsaw puzzles. Her incredible collection began in 1967 when she started amassing her impressive assortment of puzzles. Over the years, her dedication and passion paid off, with her eventually managing to build up a collection of 1,047 individual puzzles! This massive number is staggering, and it would probably require an awfully big closet or storage space to house all of them!

Despite the challenges of collecting such many highly specialized puzzles, Luiza has managed to keep her remarkable collection thriving through dedication, hard work, and a deep love of puzzling. And one thing is certain: with so many beautiful and meticulously crafted jigsaw puzzles under her belt, this is one record we are unlikely to see beaten any time soon!

The Most Pieces in a Jigsaw Puzzle

When people think of jigsaw puzzles, they might imagine an easy-to-put-together puzzle with only a few small pieces. However, this is certainly not the case when it comes to the puzzle at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. They have completed a puzzle with over half a million pieces, 551,232 pieces!

The puzzle was broken into 1,600 sections and required the efforts of over 1,600 students to complete. It took them 15 hours just to cut up all the pieces! But despite their puzzle's enormous size and complexity, these dedicated students managed to put it together perfectly. And now, that puzzle is a testament to their hard work and persistence, showing how anything is possible with enough dedication and determination

The World's Smallest Jigsaw Puzzle

When it comes to jigsaw puzzles, few puzzle makers can compare to Selegiochi. Their 99-piece nano-puzzles are known for their incredibly small piece sizes, with each piece having an average surface area of just 0.361 sq cm. With such small pieces, puzzles by Selegiochi can finish at a surprisingly small size, measuring in at just 6.5 x 5.5 cm - smaller than a playing card!

Despite their miniature size, these nano-puzzles are no less challenging than any other jigsaw puzzle and are perfect for putting your craftsmanship skills to the test.

Longest Line Of Jigsaw Puzzle

Few can rival the record set by Ravensburger Spieleland in Meckenbeuren, Germany, when building the longest line of jigsaw puzzles. On September 18, 2022, this world-renowned theme park achieved a remarkable feat, assembling over 2,070 puzzles side by side to create a run of over 1,020 meters.

The impressive line was built throughout two separate phases. During the first phase, from September 4 to 17, visitors of the theme park were invited to put together 100-piece jigsaw puzzles and then place them on the ground to form part of the line. This allowed everyone who participated in the attempt to take home their own piece of this incredible record.

With thousands of committed puzzle-solvers collaborating together to achieve this massive undertaking, it is safe to say that Ravensburger Spieleland has cemented its reputation as one of the world's premier destinations for jigsaw enthusiasts everywhere.

Largest Jigsaw Puzzle

The world's largest jigsaw puzzle is an amazing organization and engineering feat. At a whopping 6,122.68 m² (65,905.17 ft²), this puzzle required countless hours of careful planning before it could even be assembled. The piece count was an astonishing 12,320, meaning thousands of people were needed to put the puzzle together. Yet amazingly, despite this massive undertaking, the entire puzzle was finished in just one day, thanks to the impressive coordination and teamwork of all those involved.

Largest Mathematical Jigsaw Puzzle

Regarding the largest mathematical jigsaw puzzle, nothing can top the incredible 3,348-piece creation achieved by the British School of Beijing. This massive puzzle required students from all grades within the school to participate over a 24-hour period and required immense teamwork, coordination, and creativity to complete. With so many intricate pieces and a limited amount of time, every move had to be carefully considered and executed with precision. In the end, though, the tremendous effort of these young minds was more than worth it. Through their collective efforts, they created a stunning work of art that both challenged and inspired them.
